Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business Administration
The ABE Business Administration program provides a professional qualification which may be used to prepare directly for a career in business, to gain advanced entry to study for further professional qualifications or to obtain useful exemptions on a range of university business courses in the UK and elsewhere.
The Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business Administration are three stages recognized and accepted routes onto the later stages of professional or university qualifications in both the U.K and overseas.
The course is examined and awarded by the Association of Business Executives (ABE), the Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Business Administration leads to awards which are valued in their own right in terms of Professional and University Recognition.
Major themes running throughout the course include HRM, Finance and Accounting, Marketing and IT. These subjects are developed at each successive stage of the program. This offers students the opportunity to specialize in one or more of these major disciplines and to select those options which reflect the student’s particular interests or career plans. Course duration; 6 months from certificate to diploma level but can take a year from diploma 2 to higher diploma.
Method of Assessment
All subjects are written external examination of 3 hours duration.
Examination Procedure
Leicester Business Academy is an examination centre and also a controlling Body authorised by the ABE Education Committee to take responsibility for all aspects of the ABE examinations including receipt and security of examination papers, conducting examinations, invigilating, collection and dispatch of scripts.
ABE examinations are held twice a year in June and December. The dates are published months before the actual examination and can be found in the journal Business Executive (supplied free to all members quarterly).
