Whether you’re looking after children, the older people or people with specific social and physical needs, working in the caring professions can be a very rewarding and challenging career choice. The courses in this department are designed to give you all the skills and qualifications you need to get started and progress in this field.
This course is offered by the OCR Nationals and has been designed to provide candidates with a high quality, industry recognised qualifications geered to specific requirements of specific sectors. These are vocationally related qualifications that provide valuable opportunities for individuals to develop skilss and gain under pinning knowledge and understanding which will support entry into work or progression to further studies.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
Guided learning hours
The time it will take a candidate to complete this qualification depends on a number of attributes (eg. Level of knowledge and experience, commitment etc). As a general guide however, each of the units in the qualification is likely to require approximately 60 guided learning hours.

To gain this award, a candidate will be required to complete 6 units
4 of which will be mandatory and 2 optional.
