Providing quality services in this sector requires management excellent in all the main functional business areas (finance, marketing, human resource management, and operations) as well as strategic leadership. ABE’s Travel, Tourism and Hospitality qualifications provide a pathway through which students can develop a combination of key business skills and industry knowledge for exciting careers which the industry offers.<br />
<strong>Professional and University Recognition</strong><br />
Certificates at every stage of each programme (Certificate, Diploma Part 1, Diploma Part 2 and Advanced Diploma), ABE qualifications are recognised as accepted routes onto UK and overseas professional qualifications enabling holders to be exempted in certain subjects in the examinations of certain professional bodies</p>
<p>Duration of course; 1 year for each level<br />
<strong>Method of Assessment</strong><br />
All subjects will be assessed by a written external examination of three hours duration.<br />

The fundamental skills needed to become a computing or digital media professional are also ensured during the offering of this program. As an individual, you would learn how to develop systems that can grow to meet new and changing needs in modern business environments and in arts, media and cultural applications.</p>
<p><strong>Duration</strong><br />
A flexible study period of 3-8 years is taken to complete the BSc in computing and information systems.<br />
<strong>Assessment</strong><br />
Each unit is assessed by unseen written examination and coursework. A project must also be taken to complete the BSc<br />
degree. Examinations are held once a year in Leicester Business Academy as well as in London. Examinations are held once a year, usually in May.</p>
<p><strong>Classification</strong><br />
The degree are awarded with First Class Honours, Upper Second Class Honours, Lower Second Class Honours or Third Class Honours. If you do not qualify for Honours, you may be awarded a Pass classification. The standard of the examination for degrees is the same as that for students studying at College of the University.</p>

There is the provision of thorough grounding in the activity of management and the environment in which the manager operates and also ensures that students are equipped with a wide range of critical skills needed in real world professional situations.<br />
Bsc in management also gives students excellent preparation fora career in management consultancy, banking, accountancy or<br />
general management.</p>
<p><strong>Duration of course</strong><br />
A flexible study period of between 3-8 years (minimum 2 years on the Graduate Entry Route)<br />
<strong>Assessment</strong><br />
Each unit is assessed by one three-hour written examination and each half unit by one two-hour written examination. For the following three units coursework/a project also counts towards the assessment:<br />
60 Introduction to information systems<br />
61 Software engineering<br />
63 Information systems project<br />
You do not have to come to London to take your examinations. Examinations are held once a year in Leicester Business Academy<br />
as well as in London. Examinations are held once a year, usually in May or June.<br />

<p>In satisfying the entrance requirements for the BSc Management, applicants must be at least 17 years of age and must demonstrate that you have reached a level of competence in Mathematics at least equivalent to a pass at GCSE/GCE ‘O’ Level, at not less than grade C, in a mathematical subject. two subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + at least three further subjects at GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level (at not less than grade C or a ‘pass’ if taken prior to 1975) or three subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + one further subject at GCSE or GCE ‘O’ Level (at not less than grade C) or two subjects at GCE ‘A’ Level + two further subjects at ‘AS’ Level<br />
Applicants with other qualifications not listed above and/or suitable work experience will be considered by the University on an individual basis.</p>

Leicester is a vibrantmulticultural city which makes its environment an interesting place to both live and study.</p>
<p>The college has two campuses about 12 minutes walk from each other. The kings street site which houses the main administration office, computer centres and specifically made for the professional business course. The other is the Matrix house campus where the rest of the majority of the other courses run from.</p>
<p>Since its commencement, Leicester Business Academy has provided an educational and professional development centre for both local and international students.We offer a comprehensive range of key professional courses in accountancy – ACCA, CIMA and SAGE ACCOUNTING– as well as offering courses in academic study areas such as Information Technology (IT), and Business. The school has a student population of over 200 and are all distributed within the said academic and professional courses.</p>
<p>Excellent and high quality undergraduate classes are also available for accredited courses and programmes in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Travel, Tourism and Hospitality, Health and Social Care. All these are provided by professional tutors who have immense knowledge and experience in their field of speciality. The college boast 2 well established computer labs with free internet browsing and online services for its students. Extra-curricular activities are arranged for students interested in sports like football and others.</p>

Our program enhances the students’ knowledge, skills and professional competence in accountancy which eventually enables students to successfully meet the challenges of the ACCA professional examinations.</p>

<em>Entry Requirements</em><br />
A number of entry routes are available which take into account<br />
different qualifications and recognise your previous achievements.<br />
For entry to ACCA’s Professional Qualification, you must meet at<br />
least one of the criteria below:</p>

<li>2 A levels and 3 GCSEs (Five separate subjects including English &amp; Mathematics)</li>
<li>AAT (UK) Intermediate (Complete)</li>
<li>BTEC National Certificate (Any Subject)</li>
<li>NVQ Level 3 / 4 (Any Subject)</li>
<li>A Degree (from any recognised institution in any subject)</li>
</ul>
<p>NB. An official proof of any relevant existing qualifications must be sent to us in order for us to assess your eligibility and to confirm your entitlement for exemptions. Take note that the ACCA body has the discretion to offer you any exemptions on certain papers.</p>
